Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2024 GMC Sierra 3500, we're gonna be checking out the Curt Goose Ball and Safety Chain Kit for trucks that have the OEM prep package. So nowadays, it's pretty convenient, a lot of these trucks are coming with the prep packages in place and it makes it super convenient to use, you know, a goose ball kit like this Curt one here, or even a fifth wheel for that matter 'cause they just drop into place and allow you to hook your trailer right up to 'em if your truck does not come equipped from the factory with that prep package, not a huge deal. There's a lot of other hitches available that will let you get the same thing done, more or less, and hook up to your trailers. With that said though, this kit will work with trucks that have a short bed or a long bed like ours today and it's gonna have a two and 5/16 diameter ball. Pretty much standard there as far as gooseneck trailers go. more

B and W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2024 GMC Sierra 3500- Video
Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the B&W turnover ball gooseneck hitch. Now, right off the bat, there's gonna be many different gooseneck hitches available for the 2024 GMC 3500. What the biggest thing that's gonna set this gooseneck hitch apart from the others, is that when you're not using it, simply pull the latch which releases the ball, flip it over, (metal clangs) and you can store it (metal clunks) inside of the hitch, and not have to worry about it being in the way. You can see that the top of our hitch is flush with the top of our corrugation here. And then, whenever you're ready to use it, you simply flip it over, (metal clunks) set it back down into place, and then latch the pin. more

I think it's really cool as of late that manufacturers started putting these prep packages in the back of their heavy-duty trucks, and it makes hauling a gooseneck trailer or even a fifth wheel super easy, because you can take the hitches and just set 'em into place and you're ready to rock and roll. And that's the case with this one, Everything more or less we'll just drop right in and utilize the factory-style puck system. With that said, the ball for this one is gonna be 2 and 5/16, so more or less standard, for all those types of goosenecks out there. And this one is rated for up to 30,000 pounds, so pretty high weight capacity. more

Well, right off the bat, what I like to point out about this kit is that it will come with this carrying case, which is really nice because you're gonna use all three of these components at one time anyway. And a lot of people don't like to leave 'em in the bed of their truck, so they give you a case to put 'em in when you're done using them. It's gonna help 'em last longer if you keep 'em out of the weather and you can put it in this case and set it in the back of your truck or either in the bed of your truck or the back seat of your truck and everything's gonna stay together. more

Hey, guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2023 GMC Sierra 3500, and we're gonna show you how to install the CURT underbed gooseneck hitch. Adding the gooseneck to the bed of your truck is gonna allow you to haul gooseneck trailers and even some fifth wheels if you can get an adapter that fits inside the hitch. This kit's gonna come with all the hardware that you need to get it installed. You just need a few tools to make a few cuts, and then tighten all the hardware up underneath. It's gonna have a nice chrome plating on the ball itself. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the B&W underbed gooseneck kit on a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500. Now, this is what it's gonna look like when it's installed. And you can see, pretty quickly, that your ball just kinda drops in here and your safety chain loops are spring-loaded, so it's gonna keep it nice and flat. And the great part about having a gooseneck, especially this one here, is gonna be the fact that when you're not using this, you can simply take the ball, turn it over, drop it in place and your bed is still a truck bed. And you can see, the clearances here really don't take up anything. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over the Reese pop-in gooseneck hitch ball kit here on a 2019 GMC Sierra 3,500. So this is everything that comes in our kit, starting with the main component which is our two and five 16 inch gooseneck hitch ball. This is the most standard size for gooseneck coupler so it shouldn't have any issues with compatibility there. It has a nice chrome plated finish which is gonna help protect it from rust and corrosion over time. Next, we have our little rubber plug here. This is going to go into the gooseneck hitch ball opening when we're not towing to protect our internal hitch components free of any rust and corrosion issues. more

So this is what our trailer hitch looks like installed. And as you can see here, we have a very clean truck bed. When the hitch ball is not in place, everything is pretty much flush with the top of the bed channel there, and the U bolts are actually sit inside the recess of the bed channel. This underbed goose neck hitch is going allow you to haul a goose neck trailer behind your truck. What's great about a goose neck trailer is that it places all the weight on top of your rear axle, so that'll allow you haul heavier loads more stable than a regular hitch mounted at the rear.You've got your safety chains located on each side. It's custom fit to match your truck, so everything mounts right in place. The ball can be repositioned upside down, and this will give you full bed access. Part number is 9465-56.Now, here's what our gooseneck's going to look like fully installed and ready for use. You can see, we've got the 2-5/16 inch ball right in its pocket there, and the pin from the outside going through to secure it. This is going to give us a great connection point for our trailer, and make hauling a lot easier. Now, when we don't want to use it, we'll simply have to pull the pin on the side. Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 HD we'll be having a look at and installing the B&W Turnover Ball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Custom Installation Kit, part number BWGNRK1016. As you can see, it's a completely underbed system. We have our nice spring loaded safety chain loops right here, our ball release mechanism here to latch it into place, so when we want to store it upside down we can, or have it locked in tow position we can as well.Now that we've shown you underneath, we'll show you how much room we have in the bed of the truck. With everything being below our bed, it is a nice clean look and we don't worry about losing any of our valuable bed space. As you'll notice, even our safety chain loops that are spring loaded sit in the bottom part of the corrugation and don't stick up above the corrugation itself.Now, you can see our gooseneck head right here is a square opening, which takes our B&W 2-5/16 inch ball and insert it any direction, doesn't matter. B and W Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 GMC Sierra 3500- Video
Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the B&W Turnoverball Underbed gooseneck trailer hitch with custom installation kit, part number BWGNRK1016. One of the really nice features of our B&W Gooseneck is that it actually doubles as a base for our companion fifth wheel. If you have a gooseneck and also maybe a fifth wheel trailer, you can pick up the companion fifth wheel that will fit right in here, and then within a few minutes you can go from having a gooseneck to a fifth wheel trailer. What I really like about our B&W gooseneck is that it utilizes a square shank on our ball, that way when we go to put it in, and we need to line up our latch pin, it's going to be that much easier just to drop it into place, and we don't have to worry about it rotating and not lining up with our pin. It's going to give us a 2 5/16 ball and two safety chain loops that are going to allow us to tow a gooseneck trailer down the road. The really nice thing about this is that when we're done towing and we need to have more bed access, we can actually remove the ball, and instead of leaving it open to allow dirt and debris to fall in we can actually turn the ball upside down and drop it back in place, and now we'll have full bed access and not have to worry about having the ball interfere with anything. To release our latch, if we come to our driver's side, there's going to be a small handle. I'm going to pull it out and just slightly turn it counterclockwise, and that will release our latch pin to secure our ball. more

Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit Installation - 2017 GMC Sierra 3500- Video
Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra 3500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Ball and Safe Chain Loop Kit for Factory Chevy and GM Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitches, part number C60692. So here's what our ball mount and safety chain loops look like fully installed. Now this kit is for the factory prep package for GM and Chevrolet for our gooseneck or fifth-wheel trailer and this is gonna allow us to safely tow a gooseneck trailer down the road. Now the really nice thing about our kit here, is that since it is made specifically for the OEM prep package, this kit's going to install in less than five minutes, and then whenever you're done towing and you need to have your bed open so you can haul anything you may need, it'll uninstall and you can stow it away in less than five minutes as well. Each component of the kit is gonna use a different type of latching system. For instance, our ball here is gonna have a lever on top and if we rotate that, lift it up and rotate that lever, it's gonna loosen and take the tension off of our ball bearings here, which is what's gonna secure the ball to the mounting point in our bed. And again, to install it, we just lift up on that tab and we can turn the lever, which will allow the ball to fall back down, and then we can lock it into place. more

Reese Elite Series Under-Bed Gooseneck Hitch Installation - 2017 GMC Sierra 3500- Video
Today on our 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 we'll be having a look at and installing the Reese Elite Series Under Bed Gooseneck Complete Hitch, part number RP30158-68. Here's what our under bed gooseneck hitch looks like installed. In the middle here, we have the spot for our gooseneck ball, then we have these four pucks outside of our gooseneck ball area. These are where we can hook up our fifth wheel or other accessory that utilizes those, such as a Reese Elite Fifth Wheel Head. It'll drop right down into these pucks, and then we can tow a fifth wheel trailer or a gooseneck trailer without having to have any adapters above the bed of our truck. This gives us a nice clean look. Everything sits underneath the bed, so if we still need to use our truck as a truck, we don't have any worries about not being able to have full access of our bed. more

B and W Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 GMC Sierra 3500- Video
Today on our 2015 GMC Sierra 3500, we'll be having a look at and installing the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Custom Installation Kit, part number BWGNRK1012. All right, with our handle in the open position we can take our ball, place it in, release the handle, and it'll latch in place. This will give us our 2 5/16" ball to tow our gooseneck trailer. We have our nice easy to use safety chain loops right here, spring loaded so they'll snap back down when we're not towing our trailer. They don't take up any of our space in our bed. Also, when we're not towing our trailer, our ball can be stored upside down so it doesn't take up any space in our bed as well. It has a nice little handle bolted into it right here so you can grab it with one finger, pull it out, flip it over, and reinsert it. more

Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2009 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2009 GMC Sierra we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Hide-A-Goose under-bed gooseneck trailer hitch with installation kit, part number 9465-54. All right, here's what our gooseneck looks like installed. As you can see, our gooseneck design gives us clean access of our truck bed here. There's nothing sticking up above it at all besides our gooseneck ball and our safety chain loops, which are spring-loaded. Our gooseneck system that we have installed with its 2 5/16" ball has a 7,500 pound vertical load limit, that's the amount pushing down. And then a 30,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount that we can pull. When we're not hooked up to our trailer, we can actually store our ball upside down in the gooseneck head so it's readily available and doesn't take up any of our truck bed space so we can still store stuff in our truck bed and not lose any of that valuable space. more

Today on our 2016 GMC Sierra 2500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt Double Lock, Flip and Store Underbed Gooseneck Hitch with installation kit, part number C607-604. All right, here's what our gooseneck looks like installed underneath the vehicle. Now, what sets this gooseneck apart from other goosenecks on the market is the fact that our ball is here in place in the gooseneck with a double-pin mechanism. A lot of the other goosenecks on the market secure the ball with just a single pin. This gives it added strength and durability. Now I'm going to go ahead and retract our handle, and you can see how the ball is secured. On the driver's side of our vehicle, we'll find the handle that we can use to remove our ball. This is the handle that secures it in place. more

B and W Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Today my 2016 GMC 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the BMW turnover ball under bed gooseneck trailer hitch with custom install kit, part number BWGNRK1016. Here's what it's going to look like once it's installed. Now we can pull the pin from the driver's side fender well and we'll pull the ball up, we can flip it over, drop it back down and stow it away. A nice feature about this is it's got these spring loaded safety chain hold downs. When they're not in use it'll be pretty flush to the floor. When you want to flip over your ball, you're going to pull out on this and pull it to the front, that locks it in the open position. Once you flip the ball over, pull out, push it to the back, release it and that locks the ball back into position. Now with the BMW side plate, it's going to use factory weld nuts to attach so there's going to be no drilling or having to fish any wires or nuts inside our frame. more

Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Gmc Sierra - Curt- Video
Today on our 2011 GMC Sierra we are going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Double Lock Flip and Store Under Bed Gooseneck Hitch with install kit. Part number C607-604. What sets apart this hitch from the rest of them, it's got a double locking pin, where most of them only have one pin that goes through this one has two. It's going to keep your load extra secure. The reason you want this product is that fact that it only has the four holes that you are going to drill for your safety chain loops and one four inch diameter hole in the bed. Everything else is a bolt on using existing holes. Now your trailer ball is a 2 and 5/16 that is chrome plated along with the nice ring along the outside. more

On this 2013 GMC Sierra, we're going to review and install the B&W Turnover Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with the installation kit. Part number BWGNRK1012. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Sierra. You notice we have it inside the bed liner. It works just fine. First off, here's a 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, which can be easily removed by operating the pin on the inside. Pull the pin out and towards the front of the truck. You release the pin and you can take the ball out. If you'd like you can store it inside the hitch upside down. more

B&W Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 GMC Sierra- Video
On this 2011 GMC Sierra, we're going to show you the BMW turnover ball, under-bed gooseneck trailer hitch. Part number BWGNRK1012. We'll go ahead and show you how to operate the hitch. Right now, it's in lock position, so to unlock it, pull on the handle and twist towards the front. It stays open and you can remove the ball. To lock the pin down, simply pull down on the handle a little bit, twist it towards the back of the truck, and it's spring-loaded and locks itself back it. This is what the hitch looks when it's installed in the truck. You'll see a very small footprint in the bed of the truck. more

B and W Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Today on our 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 Model we're going to be doing an installation on a B&W Turnover Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, with the Custom Installation Kit. The part number is BWGNRK1012. Our gooseneck hitch can easily be converted for use with a fifth wheel as well simply by using the B&W companion, part number BWRVK3500. As you can see the B&W's gooseneck style hitch is going to allow us full access into our bed. It's an under bed mount set up so we don't have to worry about having all the rails and the bars up here interfering with our bed. Flush mount design, as you can see, so a large hole cut out here in the bed allows that to pass up through nicely. The same goes for your safety chain connections here on both sides. more

Gooseneck Hitch Installation - 2001 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2001 GMC Sierra 2500 Short Bed, we'll be installing the B & W Turnover Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, part number BWGNRK1067. Next we'll go over the handle, operation and installing of the gooseneck hitch ball. To operate the handle, we'll simply pull out, rotate it forward and we'll lock the handle open so that we can put our hitch ball in place. Then to lock the hitch ball in position, we'll simply rotate it back towards the rear of the vehicle and allow the spring to re-lock the pin. With the handle open, we'll drop the ball in place, close the handle, which will allow the pin to go through the ball and lock it in place, allowing us to set up for towing our gooseneck trailer. Then once we're done towing, we'll pull the handle back out, remove the ball, turn it over, put it back into the hitch, putting it in the stored position, re-throwing the handle, locking it in place. To begin our install, we're first going to lower and remove the spare tire, give us some more working room underneath. Next we'll remove both rear wheels. more
